really liked it

Sad to think about the patients that might be put out on the streets because a facility closes. The tale Maggie O'Farrell tells us is of a woman who takes "custody" of an elderly Aunt she did not know existed. And in doing so, learns dark secrets of her family she perhaps wish were not true.

Ms. O'Farrell pulled me in, riveted me ... but left me cold. If I'd felt it was a complete story, I would have marked it with five stars. I did not fell, however, we were given a satisfactory close to the characters who endear themselves to us.

In fact, if I could give half-star ratings, this would be a 3.5.
