Courtney continues growing in her power and learning about the secret world of witches and warlocks. In this instance, a murder is committed by a demon, and a meek elfin boy is blamed for the crime. While Courtney's mysterious uncle Alouysious tries to shield him from the unreasonable threats of the coven, things look dire indeed for the cute little spikey-haired beast. A good follow up to the previous installment that gives Courtney room to grow, but also reveals her dark side in a very grim way. I'm not sure how I should feel about her vengeful attacks on people who deserve it. Vengeance through murder is all well and good, but at some point it will take a toll on her soul, I'd think.
