it was amazing
bookshelves: memoir-autobiography

From the famous blogger Dooce - her memoir of battling depression, going off meds to have a child, and then battling crippling Post-Partum issues and depression. It's realistic, sad, poignant, and damn funny reflection on new parenthood, and the struggles of depression.

Some people will give this low marks for the language (it's...uh...a little salty). Or give it low marks because it's irreverant. It doesn't paint pregnancy as the best time in a woman's life! But it does show Armstrong's deep love for her family - husband, daughter, parents, even her dog. (If you haven't...go see her blog. Look at the Daily Photos of Chuck. NO REMARKS about what I've done to my own dog, okay?) It's a warts and all reflection on her life, and Armstrong makes no steps to sugarcoat any of her reactions, thoughts.
