really liked it

Steven Universe has a new five-issue comic miniseries for us, and it's called HARMONY. A Gem artifact called the Harmony Core has just become a problem--and it's dangerous for Gems and humans alike--but its nature is unclear and the Crystal Gems are baffled. And perhaps even worse--it's interrupting Steven's band practice! Sadie, still adjusting to life as an ex-employee of the donut shop and still missing Lars, is also a central character.

The story's pretty standard Gem fare, with a suddenly dangerous item appearing that must be understood and dealt with, and Sadie's interaction with her band of Cool Kids is pretty adorable. I really liked the new scenery, the cameos from Aquamarine and the Topazes at the beginning, Connie and Garnet being the group's brawlers when they go to investigate the Core, and of course, Opal's cameo and Peridot's too-literal nerdiness. A satisfying beginning to a new story.
