Another Wimpy Kid novel and possibly my favorite one yet! At one point, I laughed so hard I actually cried. Greg's started up school again, but this time it's without Rowley as a best friend because the two are fighting over something and Rowley hasn't apologized. Greg has to deal with boy-girl parties, the fact that he might be a "late bloomer", and his uncle's upcoming wedding.

The author is SO good at humor, and I think he did an even better than usual job in this book because of the connected storyline and long descriptions of plot. One of the funniest parts of this book (and the series as a whole) is Greg's description of a school "lock-in" and how he expects it to be a crazy boy/girl sleepover... only it doesn't exactly turn out as expected. I felt like this book had less family-based scenes (with the exception of his uncle's multiple marriages) but still a nice balance of school and family life. And, as usual, it made me eager for the next installment!
