This one threw me for a loop. I had gotten used to the formula which included lots of silly humor, sexual tension, and competition for Marnie's affections. The big bad was there but almost secondary. This one is much more serious and darker. I wasn't prepared for it and I'm still conflicted after finishing it 12 hours ago. I was glad to see Declan back. I really like the character. It was good to learn more about the revanents and their history. But I'll be honest the ending left a bad taste in my mouth for several reasons. I already owned the next one so I'll read it and then decide if I like the direction we seem to be going. As I said, I'm conflicted and maybe that's a good thing.

My one problem is the editing seems to be getting worse. A lot of word transpositions going on, it felt like Yoda had edited it.
