it was amazing

Shark Drunk is an incredible and unusual book that touches on so many stories from adventure to reconnection with nature. It may sound strange how the numerous fragments of Scandinavian mythology, life-long friendship memories and maritime biology could be ever captured in a witty and captivating narrative, but Morten Strøksnes did it. And beneath the tons of self-irony and black humour, there lie the existential questions of our “uniqueness” as a species, and our impacts on the planet since antiquity, and the ability to dwell upon things within the momentum of a lifetime.

In the end, my greatest pleasure and satisfaction with this book can be handled in a single line: The sea is everything.
