it was ok
bookshelves: meh-whatever
Recommended for: I wouldn't.

I didn't realize when I bought this book that it was well into a series. Either way, the beginning was gripping, pulling me into the crazy, backwards, frightening, and lawless unerworld of Bangkok, full of tranny hookers, corrupt cops, drugs, two-bit prostitutes, and snuff films.

After about page 200, the book started to lag, and all I can say was that I was bored. So bored that I blocked it out. I couldn't even tell you what happened until the last 75 pages, when somehow, it miraculously got good again, and whipped out one hell of a surprise ending.

I'm keeping this off of my "sucked" shelf because I love to read mysteries and trash during the summer: it's my fault that I didn't choose better; and, because, I did get a few days worth of interesting reading ... I'll try not to think about the time lost.

Meh. Whatever.
