really liked it
bookshelves: adoption, mystery-thriller

I spent the entirety of this book in a state of bewilderment. Every point of view had its own slant of the truth, and it was impossible to know what was white lies and what was blatant deception.

There was a huge surprise for me near the end regarding “whodunnit”, and I thoroughly appreciated that. However I still closed the book with more questions than answers. Which I personally don’t mind as I enjoy mulling over the possibilities.

I have come to depend on Lucy Dawson for clever plotlines and this book was no exception.
