it was ok
bookshelves: romance

Two stars. "It was ok." Yep, that sums up this anthology nicely.

The Unmasking of Lady Loveless was entirely too short for the story it was trying to tell. It seemed odd that Alex forgot the catalyst for his renewing his acquaintance with his wife and given the title of the story, the actual unmasking of Lady Loveless was just odd. It would have been more believable if it had been Melicent's mother. Though perhaps no less creepy.

Christmas Reunion was was longer than it needed to be and just didn't do anything for me. Also, it seems odd to have a contemporary story sandwiched between to regency stories.

A Mistletoe Masquerade was actually pretty enjoyable and I would have liked to read a longer version of this story, maybe showing more of both couples' relationships developing. Fun premise. Charming story.
