bookshelves: dystopia, young-adult, romance, series, post-apocalyptic, science-fiction
Read from March 17 to 26, 2012

The concept of a world where everybody gets to be supermodel gorgous and therefore anyone normal is ugly is an interesting enough idea for a Young Adult Dystopia fiction. Unfortunately Uglies is just a bit too predictable and not as good as other such novels such as Unwind, The Hunger Games, Delerium and Divergent. I also would have enjoyed Uglies more if the supporting characters where a tad more fleshed out.

The book was however enjoyable enough that i plan to read the next one in the series.

[Update: I liked book but did not like the conclusion to Tally's story in book 3, because of this I decided not to read book 4]
