One of the Goodreads reviews sums up my impression of the book ... "Love the tale, not the telling." This is a story about two Smith educated young women from New York state who travel in 1916 to Hayden, Colorado (west of Steamboat Springs) to teach for a year. It is a fascinating read particularly if you are familiar with that part of the state. A definite "must read" for anyone interested in Colorado history.
