I really enjoyed reading We've Got a Job: The 1963 Birmingham Children's March I've always been a fan of history but it seemed like my high school teachers barely made it to the Vietnam War before school was out. So, like the author Cynthia Levinson I missed many of the details of this story.

The author did a wonderful job bringing this story to light by using the experience of 4 teens during the Birmingham Children's March of 1963. The primary sources of pictures and quotes from people from that time were effectively used.

I highly recommend this book to middle school teachers to make it available to their students in their classroom library or to read it aloud to the whole class.
