it was amazing
bookshelves: you-must-read-this

I want to be friends with Eleanor Oliphant.

At the start of this book, you only know that Eleanor Oliphant is utterly and completely socially inept but also, completely oblivious to this fact. She instead believes that everyone else is socially in the wrong. Interesting.

Then she falls for the lead singer in a rock band and a new IT guy starts at the office - and her life is never the same. Don't misunderstand. This is not a romance, but rather a humorous, thrilling portrait of a young lady who has survived a childhood most of us cannot even imagine. How she goes from a judgmental, prissy loner to...well, who she becomes is a ride you shouldn't miss.

Now I completely understand all the hype surrounding this book!
