Such a beautiful story and yet deals with the harsh reality of life.
I cried on several occasions.

Amal is a brave and determined girl who is fighting for so much in her life. Fighting for her rights as a girl, fighting to get an education, fighting for her right to freedom, fighting against injustice and crime for the poor. She has so much fight in her my heart bursts with pride.

I love the various themes this book picked up and did justice to almost all of them. And it was all packed into such a small book and such an easy to read story. The writing is so beautiful and the pacing is perfect. There is not one moment where you are not engaged in the story.

But the fact that what happened to Amal still happens to many girls in so many countries, including mine is just heart breaking. I ray that those girls get the strength and courage to fight just like Amal did and emerge victorious.
