really liked it

I’ve always known the premise of this book, but I finally decided it was time to know the story.
I expected the ambiguous homoerotic love triangle (or something like it), but not the teen suicide.
I expected much more ennui caused by hedonism, but Dorian remains as malleable as a teenager throughout. Unlike most of the derived characters he never becomes world weary (of course he dies before age 40 so why would he).
The themes of seduction and influence are really creepy. The picture exerts some, perhaps, at the end, but Henry is creepy from the beginning, and Dorian becomes so.
