John Buchan's classic spy thriller examines Islamic involvement with the Germans, even containing a Mata Hari character. It really made me think about how much the Germans lost when they were beaten. Their leaders were tried and executed, their cities leveled. But the Islamics only had to give up a tiny strip of desert for the people they tried to destroy and the Jews lost half of that to Jordan before they could move onto their traditional homeland. Why is everybody crying over the Palestinians? They are still trying to destroy Israel. Where's the justice? Read this old story that contains lots to think about today's situation. You can't lose with a John Buchan tale.
