I found this book in the Central Lending Library. Its a very nice book indeed~!

This book is about a girl named Emily Byrd Starr. Her mother died when she was only four years old, but was never lonely. She has a father, imagination, her writing and her cats ( four cats) But when her father dies, her whole is turned upside down. She is sent to live at new moon farm with her stern Aunt Elizabeth, Aunt laura and her cousin Jimmy. They let Emily only bring one of her cats'and forbids her to write in her beloved journal. Emily is sure she will be miserable but she soon discovers her new friend, Ilse Burnly, the beauty of her surroundings, and inner strength she never knew she had, her cousin, Jimmy, taught her to write poetry and she would write when she is angry or sad. Jimmy even bought her a book of her own~! Then she starts to write a novel of her own.

Emily happiness lighted the world with golden glory. She wrote a diary and said in there it was to be published when she dies....

Its a real touching story. There is one part in the story, when Emily was very very sick, she had a dream. She dreamt that her best friend, Ilse's mother dashed across a field singing a song and fell into a well.(Died)But the most amazing part was, it was a true story.

Hope you all will read this lovely book~!
