it was amazing

GO. READ IT. NOW. I read it in two sittings instead of one only because if I hadn't gotten some sleep, I would've passed out.

I had quite high expectations for this book and they were met. I had no idea at first that this book is by the same author who wrote Coraline? I mean, it was one of my fave books as a child! So, when I learned that, I expected a lot AND IT SOMEHOW EXCEEDED THAT, WOAH

The narration was so... vivid!! It was so beautiful and and and just aaaaaa, also a 7 year old narrator? In an adult book? That's something you don't see every day. And it was executed so well.

It was scary. Like, really scary. I wouldn't say it's horror? But I'm surprised it didn't give me nightmares. LIKE, IMAGINE HAVING TO PULL A WORM OUT OF YOUR FOOT. ADD THAT TO THE LIST OF MY IRRATIONAL FEARS,,,

A couple more things that I'm thankful were there: cats. Obviously. Did you expect me not to mention that? Also, book dragon rep, haha.

All in all, it blew my mind away. Creepy. Addicting. Go. Read it.
