did not like it
bookshelves: fiction, read-in-2012

I read this book against my better judgment, because it kept cropping up on best of 2011 lists. I should've listened to my gut feeling, which was that I don't generally like reading existentialist books about rich Londoners. There was, however, some good wordplay - I do appreciate a good (bad) pun.

If you want to read about a well off quirky character who shuts himself off from the world, Italo Calvino's The Baron in the Trees is infinitely more awesome.
