Mikael Cerbing's Reviews > Passagen
Simon Stålenhag is one of my favourite artists, I love his stuff. And as Guillermo del Toro is one of the main kickstarterbackers of this book, I find myself in great Company. This book is a fair bit different then the last two, mainly because it takes Place in USA. 1990is dystropian USA. It would be interesting to know why he placed it there instead of in Sweden as before. In any case, it follows a Young girl on a roadtrip from the destert to the west coast after what seems to have been a New dust bowl and a generall collapse of society due to VR indulgence. The story in this book is stronger then in the last two, and the art is really dark. And I really like it. The first one is still the best for me, the 80ties of my childhood mixed With robots was prety much a match in heaven. But I think this one might be better then nr 2. As long as he keeps this up, I will continue to buy it. Great stuff.
