I've gotten really into reading travel writing in the last few months and this travel memoir came up as on sale for Kindle. Ann Vanderhoof and her husband Steve bought a sailboat, sailed it down from Canada down the Eastern Seaboard and into the Caribbean. Ann--not a sailor, not sure she would last on the boat--grows and learns while on this extended cruise through the Caribbean islands, detailing the travel experiences, the sea, the various island nations they stop and spend time in, the people they meet and become friends with. A great touch was having recipes she cooked or learned from many of the countries.
