it was amazing

A fun and fascinating read, making economics enjoyable. But it's really about more than economics--it's about applying common sense to economics, politics, and life in general. (I suspect the author might say that's what economics is.)

I had an ulterior motive for reading this--I wanted to see what I thought of Mr. Wheelan before reading a more political book by him, the Centrist Manifesto. To me, he seems to be a clear-headed, rational thinker who's willing to go where the data takes him, an attitude I like and respect in this highly opinionated era. I've just started the Centrist Manifesto. We'll see how that goes.
