The Girl in the Letter

Wow! What a gripping book. I have read and watched many harrowing historical accounts of mother and baby homes run by the Catholic Church but this novel brought these accounts to life in a very chilling and gripping way. The characters are very realistic and the author has written in such a way that it is possible for the reader to become completely immersed in the story, I particularly like how the chapters jump backwards and forwards from the 1950s and the present day - this kept the story moving well! I will definitely recommend this book and may even read it again!
