This was a sweet Christmas story. Ben is a cop who finds Zach sleeping on a church bench on Christmas eve and instead of reporting him, he takes him home.

I did find it hard to believe that you'd pick a homeless person off the street and take them home, but it seemed to work in this one. I liked Zach and Ben and Ben's family and friends and the warmth they welcomed Zach with. Zach's character was pretty fleshed out - you could see how his past shaped him. It was more difficult for me with Ben. It would have been nice if it was explained why Ben felt what he does for Zach.

For me, the book lost points somewhere towards the ending where everything seemed rushed. A lot of time seemed to have passed and i would have liked to know what the characters were up to. (view spoiler)

Overall, nice story
