it was amazing
Reading for the 7th time. Most recently started May 31, 2018.

I received my copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I wasn't sure how this book would be. The idea of Kisses being the focus for magic spells seemed strange, but it worked. The idea was unique and ingenious. Those fighting against evil are losing. Ivy has grown up believing kisses are used for battle magic; Zach dismisses the idea. Zach believes in love; Ivy believes love does not exist. Without the power of battle magic from a kiss how will they defeat the powers of darkness?

All in all, I really enjoyed the book. Love isn't the only focus. Love is cleverly weaved throughout the over-arching story--a mission to defeat the powers of evil. Battle scenes are packed with action and descriptions that pull you into the story.

If you like fantasy, romance, or just a book-nerd this book is for you.
