** spoiler alert ** I enjoyed this story which involved a boy who was fascinated by the periodic table and was collecting as many of the elements as he could. This did involve the odd explosion though, which his Mum was less than pleased about! He also nearly killed his entire class when he took some arsenic-soaked wallpaper into a hot greenhouse during a lesson at school. But then he is sold what he is told is Uranium. Only it isn't actually. It turns out to be something much more rare, and more dangerous.

This begins an adventure in which he loses it, recovers it, and nearly dies to protect it. Not a bad story. I'd read another in this series. It's clear from the last chapter that this is the beginning of a series, as he has been provided with a security team who will be living in the house next door.
