really liked it
bookshelves: 2011reads, canlit

An interesting alternative view of WWII through the eyes of an black American jazz musician living in Berlin. Interestingly personal (he doesn't know much about what's going on other than how it affects him and his friends). I liked it a lot.

Jenny (Reading Envy) This finally comes out in the states in February! It sounded interesting. I've also heard depressing, but it *is* about war.

Rachel It was sad, for sure. But great.
