really liked it
Recommended for: women who enjoy "chick flicks"

This book weaves together the life stories of a group of women of a variety of ages and from a variety of backgrounds who come together on Friday evenings to be together and knit. It is an easy read and celebrates women being able to be friends even though they are quite different. It is a heart warming story. The front cover has a quote from USA today which says" Like Steel Magnolias set in Manhattan." which seem apropos. When it seemed that all the loose ends were tieing up happily, I noticed that I was only 2/3 through the book...I wonder who will play Georgia in the movie.
