really liked it

This is a very interesting book to read for its historical perspective (in other words it was written at the time of the event taking place in the book, e.g. the early 1920s)

The other obvious thing to say is it is such a well written book. every sentence is polished and must have been revised 10 times by the author. In particular the few last pages that conclude the tale are as perfect as writing can be.

This book is also a bit cold because you do not like anybody in it. There is a doomed romance, but there is very little about the joy or good aspect of love. This is really interesting because Fitzgerald was young when he wrote it.

Anyway this is the kind of book you need to read at least once to make your own opinion.
