The werepanther world Calmes creates is brutal, archiac and fascinating. The guys can never be at peace. There is always a trial. Someone always wants to hurt Jin or Logan and the sepat is the trial of all trials and the battle of all battles.

Like all of Calmes' books,a lot of pages and time is spent with everyone being in love and overwhelmed by her main character. Which is always a bit of a turn off for me. We get it, Jin is unique and powerful, etc. There is no reason to ram it down our throats.

This book was more of the same, but just as interesting. I thought the way Calmes decided to resolve it was interesting, but sad for what it means for Jin's family.
