"In both fiction and nonfiction, there’s only one question and one answer:
'What happened?' the reader asks.
'This is what happened,' the writer responds.
'This… and this… and this,too.'"

I don't always like his dialogue, his characters, or his metaphors, but I do think that King still tells a damn good story. Like the above quote says, I spent the 800+ pages wondering what was going to happen - was the main character going to successfully stop JFK from being killed??? - but never once did I think I should just skip to the end to find out. I think that's the sign of a well-told story - you stick with it because you're immersed in the getting there as well as the ultimate 'this happened'.

11/22/63 wasn't a perfect book, but it was a really good page-turner of a story.
