really liked it
bookshelves: noir, 2000-s, characterization

Megan Abbott has drunk deeply from the cup of noir.

Set in the fifties, Queenpin has everything a good pulp needs: interesting characters, decent plot, and snappy dialog.

A short, easy, fun read, fine characterization elevates Queenpin above the typical pulp.
