Koreen's Reviews > Still Alice
I usually shy away from books about illnesses because it usually makes me a little paranoid. This book was no exception (now, I'll walk around thinking I'm losing my mind); however, I'm glad I read it. Genova did an amazing job of putting her readers in the mindset of a brilliant woman living with a disease which affects so many people in this country. This novel helped me gain some perspective on this disease and hopefully some empathy for those dealing with this type of memory loss.
