really liked it
bookshelves: thrillers
Read from November 15 to 18, 2011

It's been a while since I read a thriller that I couldn't put down. Crashers had me from the beginning. I was fascinated by the process of the investigations conducted by the NTSB into the crash of a jetliner. It was disturbing, fairly graphic -- so if you're squeamish -- the first few chapters are hard to take. I wouldn't recommend this book to anybody who is afraid of flying.

My one complaint about the book was the motive behind the plot to crash the plane. Compared to the realism of the crash and the investigation, it seemed a bit weak.

However, since this is the author's first book, I'm looking for an improvement in his second book, Breaking Point. I really did like the characters on the investigative team.

This book is a good read if you like thrillers, investigative details. and can handle the subject matter.
