really liked it
bookshelves: first-read-giveaway

I won this in the Goodreads giveaway. It came in the mail today and I am excited to read it.

This was one of those novels that I started reading and couldn't put down until I finished it at 2:00 a.m. It was way more interesting than the Derrida essay I was supposed to be writing.

The novel is about a man that loses his wife to cancer. He grieves for her, but attempts to continue with his life. I thought there were wonderful descriptions of his life, love, and step-children. In the end, his life is still not perfect, but he is happy.

The one thing that I really didn't like was the inclusion of causal sex. I didn't think those parts particulary added to the plot.
