really liked it

Still reading at the moment. Donaldson is always an adjustment from reading almost anybody else. I feel like I still don't know English when I come to reading him ;'), and the pacing is distinctly his own: in this book, for example, the very first scene goes on for over a hundred pages! The explorations of madness and despair (nearly all the major characters are struggling to hold onto their sanity in one way or another) are both (as usual) deeply insightful and, given my recent life events, quite timely. Still have 150 pages to go.
