I feel like a real moron giving this two stars, but I was so irriated by the oppressive self-satisfaction prevalent in the tone all the way through the book. I also just wasn't very impressed. Very little opposition was given against Socrates when he made his arguments. I was also underwhelmed by the complete failure to account for any nuances. Two sides were presented so that the conclusions could be nicely pigeonholed. I will grant you that philosophy isn't my favorite subject, but for all that people rave about the genius of the Greek philosophers, I really expected quite a bit more. I did enjoy the last chapter, but the rest of it seemed to me very elementary, underdeveloped arguments.
