This book was about an obese teenager who decided to take his own life, and created a website so people could watch him eat himself to death!!! Wow I don't even know how to begin to describe how I felt about this book. It cut deep into my heart and soul as I read it. To know that some people out there struggle with this issue everyday and feel like they have no other choice, no alternative but to take their own life because they feel so trapped in the body they are stuck in. I really did sympathize with this main character his thought of being a burden to his family, his feelings of guilt, embarrassment, being un-liked, having no friends or anyone to really turn to for help and support, and only finding comfort with a fake online persona it was so sad and emotional for me to read about. The scenes where he described his binge eating episodes that uncontrollable need to fill the void with something anything inside hit so close to home. I too have struggled with an eating disorder and it's like a dirty little secret you know most people won't understand, but as I read this book I got the feeling that the author definitely did her research it was very realistic. I did like the way this book flowed throughout the story and how he kept his sense of humor and identity even though he was struggling to try to fit in for once. I enjoyed the way it ended. I liked how even though the worst things happened to him he found that life can have meaning if you look at it from the right perspective and that asking for help doesn't make you weak or seem worthless. We all need some help sometimes so never just take the permanent way out!
