it was amazing

There is so much hate and murder in this relentless document of carnage that when I got to a report of two soldiers raping a dying girl and hurrying so they could finish before she pegged out it just flew past me as yet another atrocity. It was only later I thought to go back and work out quite how I had become so inured to the tales of outrage that populate the book.

It's a must read, but one which will do for you what James Joyce did for the Irish people with Ulysses...

You'll need a strong stomach. Fisk has seen far too much for any one man to have to carry around with him.
