it was amazing
bookshelves: high-school

Grades 9+. This is NOT my usual genre. This book blew me away. My favorite puppy dog romance/ girl book since the Sisterhood of the Traveling pants. Anna's father tears her away from high school and makes her attend a prep school in Paris during her senior year. While there she meets a totally amazing guy that is "off limits" for so many reasons-- and because of this develops an amazing friendship (and eventually a HUGE secret crush). Perkins captures what navigating the friendship/social landmines is like and _almost_ made me want to go back to high school so I could meet my own Etienne. (Which is my new favorite name for my not-happening next child.)

Kate Hastings I almost want to have another baby just so I can name him Etienne.

message 2: by Misty (new) - added it

Misty Lol I love that name, too!

Christiana You should read Lola and the Boy Next Door. Companion novels are the new sequel.
