liked it

I was really intrigued when I first heard about this book. I loved the idea of a female lead who was also a con woman. Who doesn't love a good heist story?

Sadly, it didn't quite live up to my expectations - however they were quite high so that probably isn't fair. That said, I did enjoy the novel a lot. The setting of a family of grifters - an unorthodox arrangement - was really appealing and the author made this feel very realistic. The particular 'heist' in question dragged a little in parts, and the 'mark' - a rich, good looking millionaire - felt very one-dimensional for most of the book. Perhaps this was intentional, to give us the impression that Della did not see him as a 'real' person.

Nevertheless, it was a quick and enjoyable read amongst a topic that is - I think - intriguing by nature. I wanted a little more, but was overall not left disappointed.
