An intriguing read.

I read this based on a Goodreads review by my good friend Charlotte, and I am pleased I did!

The story is told from the pov of Cady, or Cadence, who is nearly 18. She comes from a very rich family, and every year they spend the summer holidays on the family island. One year, Summer 15 (when she is 15) she has an accident, and she can't remember anything, and gets terrible headaches as a consequence.

Two years later, when she's 17, she goes back to the island and the memories start to return.

The story isn't long (took me a couple of hours really, although interrupted because: life) so I won't spill all the details here, but there is a twist at the end that I didn't see coming at all. Well worth a read, good for the beach I'd imagine!

4 stars.
