First of all, I got through this book in all of 3 days--so it was really, REALLY compelling. I loved the characterization and the detail, the mood, all of it...really got the FEEL of life in 19th-century England with Charles Dickens, Wilkie Collins, William Macready, and the rest of the cast of characters as the story unfolded. But I'm not 100% on how I feel about the final quarter (or so) of the book...this may be one of those that I need to re-read and get a second round of opinions, because I admit it: I was frustrated by the end.
