really liked it

The blind assassin took me some time to get into. It took me a long time to get into. But I'm glad I persevered. I don't remember the point at which I became hooked but the last half of the book flew by.

The narrative is split between the present day, the retelling of the past, news clippings and the unfolding story of the blind assassin. I found this a bit annoying at first but once I'd got used to it, it made the book fly by.

The story was great and I saw the plot twist before it happened which was satisfying. I didn't enjoy this as much as the other Atwood books I'd read which I think is because I didn't massively connect with the time period as much.

Despite the struggle to get going on this I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of reading it.
