did not like it
bookshelves: fiction, abandoned

I usually have a hard time abandoning books because I hold out hope that they'll get better, but by page 70 I can already tell that this one won't. Reading this book is like listening to a gossipy acquaintance tell you long boring stories about the people in her office who you don't know, don't want to know, and don't care about. It's written in the first-person plural, which is less annoying than you would think but also a lot less clever than Ferris thinks.

Deborah Edwards Good to know, Rachel. I had toyed with reading this - now I will skip it.

Rachel Someone tried to warn me off of this a few months ago, but then I saw a bunch of new copies at Half Price Books and figured it probably wasn't that bad. Now I want my seven dollars back.
