really liked it
bookshelves: post-apocalyptic, young-adult-childrens, zombies

A little slower paced than book one, maybe because this world was already familiar to me. What impresses me most about this series is the inherent overall decency that shines through- probably because of Tom's personal outlook/philosophy which he is trying to pass on to Benny. This is not one long orgy of mindless zombie bashing and violence. Some good, thoughtful content with a stress on personal honor & responsibility, strength of friendship and what constitutes a hero. Loved some of the other characters like Greenman & the surfer dudes. I look forward to the next installment.
