really liked it
bookshelves: adventure, non-fiction, trauma

Krakauer is a brilliant writer. I knew the outcome of this very sad story, but I was still gripped by the suspense and drama Krakauer is able to create. I found his self-introspective turn to ring very true, and his struggle to deal with his own culpability in the deaths of his fellow climbers is the stuff of great literary non-fiction. Highly recommend.
