A marvelous and charming collection of tales written and read by Neil Gaiman, including “The Day I Swapped My Dad for Two Goldfish,” “The Wolves in the Walls,” “Cinnamon” and the poem “Crazy Hair.” It also includes an interview with him by his daughter. The stories are delightfully offbeat, and Gaiman’s reading is down to earth, playful, and pleasant.

We listened to this on our car trip back from California, and it definitely helped pass the time — though, alas, only a short time. The only drawback to this is that the single CD only runs 50 minutes, barely enough time to survive a traffic jam …
