it was amazing

This is actually not the first time I've read this book. I had it read to me years and years ago, and I had completely forgotten about it until the Back to the Classics Challenge. I read this for the Children's Classic category, and it's still as fresh and charming and heartwarming as it was all those years ago, maybe even more so. This book tells the rather sad, but very sweet story of Sara Crewe, a little girl who grew up in India with her rich father, who has been sent to a boarding school in London to get a good education. At first, she has everything she could ever wish for, and she acts like a perfect little princess, but then she looses her fortune and is made to work as a scullery maid. I love Sara's perseverance, her determination to be kind and act like a princess whatever her circumstances. I'm very glad I got to read this book again.
